Microsoft Jewel is an addictive bejeweled game developed by Microsoft. Players can complete a series of levels by lining up three or more identical gems. The gems included in each valid combination will pop and vanish, leaving room for new gems to tumble down and fill the gaps. This can also trigger a chain reaction called a cascade, which will earn the player extra points. The game is over when the player runs out of possible moves.
The player can move the gems around the board by making two adjacent gems swap places. However, the player is only allowed to swap two gems if this move results directly in a valid gem combo. As the player advances through the different levels of the game, they will unlock new gems and bonuses. Collecting the gems shown on the panel to the left of the board will earn the player extra points.
