Oil Tycoon 2 is a management game in which the player is the boss of an oil rig. The aim is to expand operations by buying more equipment, hiring new employees, buying up oilfields in other countries. The player must keep increasing the company’s profits, because every new upgrade will become more expensive.
The player can explore the various menu’s and inspect all the items that can be purchased. Different upgrades will have different effects on the company’s income. Some upgrades increase the player’s passive income by small increments, while others will increase the player’s savings cap. The player can also purchase new oilfields, expand operations to new countries, and hire more skilled employees with a higher degree of expertise.
