Play the best hearts games here! Hearts is the name best known from the Windows version of this game, however, the game is also known as Black Lady, Black Queen, or Chase the Lady. In Hearts, the objective of the game is to play away your cards and make your opponents collect penalty points. It is a trick-taking evasion game, because you have to avoid winning tricks. The penalty cards are all the suit of hearts cards (worth 1 penalty point each) and the queen of spades (worth 13 penalty points). The first player puts a card on the table face up. The other players have to add a card, preferably one that is worth less than what is already on the table. The player who put down the highest card wins the trick. If the trick contains penalty cards that means the winning player will 'win' the cumulative penalty points of that trick. From high to low, the worth of the cards is as follows: ace, king, queen, jack, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2. You have to match the suit the first player puts down, so if a player puts down the seven of clubs first, you will have to play a clubs card. Only when you do not have any cards in that suit may you play another card. That card will automatically lose its original value and become the lowest ranking card on the table. It will not lose its penalty value though, so this is a great opportunity to get rid of some penalty cards, especially the queen of spades. Per round, a total of 26 penalty points are awarded. The only way you can win a round by collecting penalty points is by collecting them all. This is called Shooting the Moon. If you collect all 26 penalty points in one round, all the other players receive 26 points while you receive none. Almost all versions of Hearts are played with four players. Have fun playing this great online hearts card game!
