Ringo Starfish is a side-scrolling platform game with retro pixel art. This gives the game a nostalgic look and feel. The gameplay is reminiscent of classic platform games such as the Mario Land series for Gameboy. The player can explore various islands and help the hero, Ringo Starfish, search for coins and other treasures.
Ringo must explore the beaches of Coconut Island, a haunted castle full of ghosts, and lots of other interesting locations. Ringo can jump onto most of his enemies to defeat them, but the player must watch out for the ones with spikes. Now and then, Ringo will find magical items that will give him special abilities for a period of time.
